Description
Samana was knocked over in Virgin Gorda Shipyard in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands when the eye of hurricane Irma passed directly over Virgin Gorda. Due to the devastation in Virgin Gorda and consequently the shipyard, Samana was not righted for about five months. We purchased Samana in 1988 and has been our home since that time. She is now for sale "as is, where is" in Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor.
Damage is as follows:Bowsprit bentStern puplpit and bow pulpit crushedMizzen mast broken (wooden mizzen mast and can be spliced)Main Mast is in good condition except the main mast step is crushed leaving the rigging loose.Need to replace some furler foilsTeak Caprail needs rebeddingSmall crack in water tankInterior salon cushions need to be cleaned and washed.Interior needs to be washed sanded and revarnishedBottom battery bank of four T-105 batteries need to be replaced. Two bank system total of 8 T105.
What is working:125HP Ford Lehman was started and appears to be ok.5KW Generator was also started and appears to be ok.Solar panel still charging batteriesHull below the waterline was sand blasted and replated/doubled in 2016 and has NO DAMAGE. She can launch at any time.

She is located in Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbor and the bill to have her righted and the majority of storage fees have been paid.
Looking for energetic persons to put her back to her full glory. She is a head turning vessel.
