Offshore 33 Cat Ketch Sailboat
1982 Offshore Wings 33
Description
Just in time for sailing season on the Chesapeake or the Caribbean!
Jubilation is a unique, beautiful Cat-Ketch with un-stayed masts making her exceptionally easy to sail andvery easy to maintain. With unstayed masts there is no standing rigging to maintain and replace. She is equipped with wishbone booms and is among the easiest types of boats to sail. The wishbone booms eliminate the need for hefty boom vangs and big winches necessary for trimming . Her diesel engine runs very well and has been regularly maintained. She has a mizzen stay-sail for faster beam and broad reaching. She has been regularly sailed every season and kept under shrink-wrap every winter for the past seven years. The outstanding layout below makes her exceptionally roomy and comfortable below with a full galley, head with shower, hot and cold fresh water, refrigerator with freezer. The forward V berth is huge, I am 6'3" and am perfectly comfortable sleeping in the V-berth with my wife. The headroom is also fantastic for a sub 40' boat. I can stand up and walk around in her without having to duck, I have not been aboard any boat under 40' that feels as roomy. Her upholstery is in good condition and she has a bimini and dodger in good condition. Her three marine deep cycle batteries are two seasons old. She has an on-board battery charger for shore-power charging. Included is a GPS color chart plotter, and a new sound system, She is outfitted and ready for Coast Guard inspection. While she is not perfect she can go in the water today and will motor or sail away! The only flaws that we are aware of are leaky ports and some minor wood problems as a result. All of the major woodwork is in great condition and the boat is very clean, but the thin veneer that surrounds the port lights does have some issues that would be an easy fix. The huge roof hatches and all of the opening ports give her fantastic ventilation below. If you know anything about these CatKetch rigged boats with the unstayed masts thenyou know that this is a great boat. She is easy to single hand and with her shallow 4' draft and reasonably stout 13,000# displacement and wide beam she is stiff and seaworthy. Please contact me with any questions you may have!
