My 1984 Sunrunner 245s boatbuilt inSpokane, WA. She has a 305 chevy motorwith Volvo out drive and through hull exhaust, I think shetravels near45 mph wide open, amazingly the boat goes that fast with such a deep hull. Originally Sun Runner's had a 10 yr warranty on their hull, due to the way they were built . Fiberglass stringer system with no wood to rot, The Sun Runner is a deep-V, high freeboard, solid designed hull, that is very sea-friendly, andhas agreat nice, dry ride, extremely sturdy and stable. I bought the boat in AZ as a project (she only had 260 original hours) and the hull has but a few minor scratches & the usual vibration cracks in a boat of this age. Has ship to shore radio, marine 4 speaker stereo system, color depth & fish finder transducer checked and works great. Has nice swimstep, under step ladder, and mounting bracket forYour trolling motor built in, Two interstate marine batteries with on and off switch. Walk through windshield andsmall captains chair. Bilge & Dual gas tanks. Trim Tabs and Tilt Trim all work perfectly. Entire engine gone through by YTM 2017.**Has Factory compression on all cylinders**Replaced all belts, complete tune up, replacedelectrical componets**Out drive serviced,new water pump** Motor currently has low 268 original miles ** I went fishing last month purrs like a kitten. The inside, I gutted the old galley to the hull, (see pictures) The galley area is open space, no sink or stove, put your own back in or use the space for storage. Originally I was going to add updated galley but decided to use as is. Replaced the front sleeper with new foam and nice hand made throw pillows. Re-coated classic wood table. The under cockpit sleeping area has been redone with all new foam as well no mildew. The bathroom is original aswhen I boughtand has a stand alone porta potty in it (itwas the last thing on my "project" list to freshen, but is functional). Engine compartment has plenty of space for a fresh water tank & pump if you wanted to add on pilot side. Trailer is in good shape, bearings packed last year, no dry rot on tires. wiring good in boat & trailer lights work perfectly. Don't buy the same class project boat with a blown motor, There is a lot of junk out there, this is ready to use today.Mechanically sound It will give you plenty of enjoyment. Great for a "first" family offshore boat, or the guy that likes to fish the kelp beds, Coronado, Catalina, etc..at a fraction of the cost for new.This is NOT a new boat and it is a bit dirty in the pictures since I have been using it until it is sold.Boat is a great no frills fishing boat that is high off the water and keeps you Warm & Dry!!, with room to move around and sleep during those long over night fishing trips. Has Been used mostly on Fresh water Lakes. There is a bimini in some of the pictures and is included. It is a new cover but needs additional hardware to secure to the front of the windshield area.
