1997 19' Wellcraft Scarab Sprint V8 powered
1997 Wellcraft Scarab Sprint
Description
The boat is in very good overallcondition for it's age and only has about 84 hours on it and was kept indoors I was told by the previous owner. The original engine was a 4.3 V6 but swapped out with a builtV8 350ci about 2 years ago and I was told it'saround 350hp, but I can't confirm that, and thetop speed is around 55 mph with the jet drive that'son it. The motor looks pretty new so I'm not sure if it's arebuilt oneor a crate motor. The original graphics(decals) were removed and replaced with the ones showing, and the seats were dyed black and red where the original colors(purple and green)were and are showing some seam separation on the front seats. They look like covers that snap on the fiberglass seat itself so replacing them should be pretty easy if you choose to do so,it has a pioneer stereo with a single cd player and a total of 4 speakers, all the gauges work, the rubber trim molding was replaced in black. The gear shifter is pretty hard to put into gear so maybe the cable needs replacement or maybe just lubrication. The trailer is the original galvanized steel one that came with the boat and it appears the tires are too, so those should be replaced in the near future. Ijust bought the boat, but I came to the realization that I can't really afford another toy at my age. It's a sweet looking boat that appears to be in great shape. I haven't seen many of these for sale either, so it's probably somewhat rare especially with the transplantedV8. The boat title is clear and the trailer comes with a bill of sale only, and bothbeing sold in as is condition. If you have any questions please ask and I'll answer them to the best of my ability. Thanks for looking!
