1947 Chris Craft Special Runabout

Description

Beautiful, all original 1947 Chris Craft Special Runabout. This combines the sporty feel of a racing runabout with the practicality of a utility. The boat has been gone through entirely, as shown in the photos. Decks, sides and bottom each stripped and refinished. The bottom was refastened, caulked and painted. The sides stripped, faired, primed and painted with Pettit Easypoxy. The decks were stripped, refastened, stained and had 12 coats of Epiphanes applied. The engine was strong from the start and just tuned up. The boat has new flooring and the ceiling boards and engine compartment were varnished. Hardware is original but very good. Upholstery has been replaced at some point and is good, but not done to original (no kapok). Instruments are original and look and function well. The boat swells up in a day or two and then doesn't leak. It has been converted to 12V, comeswith a bilge pump, lines, fenders and a nice tandem axle trailer. There is no name on the transom.
