2004 MacGregor 26M

Description

Thank you for taking a look at this 2004 Macgregor 26M power sailboat! This sailboat comes with the trailer, two sails (main and 150 genoa), mast raising system, 2004 50hp Honda 4 cycle (no oil added to gas!) engine, porta potty, deck cushions, two batteries, marine radio, CD/Radio with two inside and two outside speakers, 12 gallon and 6 gallon gas tanks, along with a toolbox with all the tools needed to rig the boat.
I know that you will likely be purchasing this boat purely from my pictures and description (it can be inspected by appointment) so I will be as thorough and straightforward as I possibly can. The boat is in good shape and it was just in the water last Sunday. The engine starts very easily and runs beautifully. The blue gel coat could use a bit of compounding, waxing, and probably buffing if you have the energy however there are a few scratches in the blue that go through to the underlying white that can not be buffed out. I've included pictures of some of the fiberglass repairs that are not cosmetically great, but appear to be cosmetic only. The picture of the daggerboard and the mast area shows the typical cosmetic damage caused by not putting a towel or cushion under the mast raising system and the dagger board could use some fiberglass repair as well. The rudders are in good working order but there is some largely cosmetic wear on the bottom of the rudders. As you can see from the pictures, this boat needs a fresh coat of bottom paint. The white on the top and cockpit areas are in good shape. There is minimal cracking and the black areas have good shine thanks to the very heavy winter cover that is included as well.
The main sail is in excellent shape. The 150 genoa is in pretty good shape with the exception that the grommet holding the sheet was pulled loose so there will need to be some sail repair to get that sail back into working order.
The interior is as good as it looks in the pictures! There are no tears in the cushions. The windows have some signs of aging but there are no cracks in the windows.
Two notes about the trailer: 1) There is a bit of superficial rust but not very much. 2) There's some brake squeak but the hydrolic brakes do work pretty well.
The winner is expected to pay for the boat up front and then come to Waretown, NJ to pick up the boat. Cash will be accepted at the time of pickup. You will need a 2" hitch ball and a 5 pin electrical hitch connector to connect to the trailer. If you would like to pay to have a service transport the boat that will be fine as long as the boat has been paid for in advance. Pickup or delivery of the boat will be the responsibility of the winner.
