I am selling my 1979 Stanfast 33. The boat went through many updates prior to cruising over 5,000NM in 2013. The boat was designed by Frans Maas in the Netherlands for coastal cruising andracing. Frans Maas builds mostly larger yachts and they are known for build quality and offshore capability. The boat is comparable to Tartans and C&Cs but with much more care to design,material, and craftsmanship. This boat far exceeds the quality of modern production boats. Everything is overbuilt and well crafted. These boats are not well known on this side of the pond, making them one of the best values in this size and class of boat. The engine was re-powered in 2012 with a rebuilt Westerbeke Engine with only 1200 hours. The diesel runs perfectly and a replacement transmission was installed this season.The deck and hull are solid with no soft spots. The rigging and sails are ready to sail/cruise as is. Has normal cosmetics issues as with an older boat. Comes with all cruising spares (engine/rigging etc. plus safety equipment). There are some ongoing cosmetic project that would make a great winter/spring project or can be enjoyed as is.
