You are looking at a rarely used Ranger 165VS Bass Boat with all the goodies and lots of high end upgrades that cost over $7,000 (see list below). With less than 10 Hours on the 2010 Mercury 90HP OptiMax and around 20 to 25 hours on the boat itself, this is the ultimate Cream puff! Always kept in a Heated Garage. This boat is Flawless in every way. My friends jokingly call it the “SS Garage”.
This Boat is also listed For Sale Locally, so this listing may end at any time. Please use eBay messaging to contact me to discuss or make appointment to see it. $14,000 is firm (and a steal, at that price) so please do not waste time making offers. The Story behind of this Boat and Motor:The boat was owned by a rich business man who took it to Canada twice (from Northern Michigan) and that was about it for his use. He had a huge heated workshop and owned several other boats. He had the equipment to mount outboards and bought them for dealer price (long story). Anyway, when he decided to sell this one in 2010, he made a deal to sell the boat to one guy and the motor to another guy. After the guy came and got the motor the guy who was supposed to buy the boat backed out. So, he put a brand new 2010 Mercury OptiMax on it and sold it to me in spring of 2011. I took it to my local mercury dealer, had it checked out and warranted to me. In 2011, 2012 & 2013, I had it on the lake that I live on maybe 8 or10 times, then my neighbors that let me use their launch sold their house and the new owners wouldn’t let anyone launch there. Launching on my lake cost $15.00 so I never took it out again. I kept it in a heated garage and last month took it back to the dealer and had him drain the tank and lines etc and make sure it was OK. The dealer stated that it started on the first crank and ran to temperature and certified that the motor had between 6-7 hours on it. I have copies of all the paperwork etc from this and the original service, as well receipts and info on most of the added equipment.
