UPDATE: Finally had good weather and took a road trip to where the boat is being stored. Have new pictures of cabin. Something got into the boat and tore my personal pillow up so you will see in the pictures a lot of fuzz all over the boat from it. None of the boats interior is torn up just my personal pillow. But because I couldn't vacuum it up I just took the pictures with it. So yes the boat will need a little clean up when you buy it but that is normal with anything. Ok people asked if there are any tears in the deck seating, yes of course the boat is from 1988. but its not bad. Also a little tear in the galley seat but other than that very good shape. Also I have talked again to the shop owner and he said he will replace the engine for $800 to $1300 labor depending on how many parts have to be switched from one engine to another. I see rebuilt motors going for $2300 on ebay. So for around $5000 in repairs you have a boat to enjoy for the summer.
I am selling my 1988 Sea Ray Weekender with single 454 and a alpha out drive. Forward berth and head with sink and shower. (NEVER USED THE HEAD) To start with the good, The cabin and hull are in good shape. Canvas is in good shape plus has the clear camper covers that are still pretty see thru. I put a new hot water heater in 4 years ago also a new charging regulator. Plus a new radio/CD/DVD player. I put 3 new LED cabin lights in. The stove and refrigerator work good. The cloth interior is in very good shape. When I bought the boat in 2014 I put teak oil on all the wood, so it will need that again. The trailer was purchased in 2011 new by previous owner. The trailer has inertia braking system. The trailer is worth $3000 alone.
For the bad, somehow the the engine is taking in water and will need to be replaced, it ran for me but I didn't take it out of the dock much due to fuel costs and I knew it need the carburetor rebuilt. I found that out when I took it at the end of the season to the repair shop for the carb to be done. Also it will probably need 2 new batteries and a power relay to the out drive for lowering and raising it. The engine only had under 200 hours on it. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Also sorry I have no interior pictures because the repair shop is an hour drive from me where it has been stored for the last few years. I hope to get a nice day here soI can take a few and post them.440-954-1106 please leave a message - John
