Cal-2 30 racer/cruiser blue water sailboat

1969 Cal-2 30 sloop. This boat was built as an Ocean racer for speed and stability. 31' LOA, 25 LWL. 9' beam. 5.5 draft, 4500lbs keel. 10300 displacement. Fin Keel with tiller steering. Powered inboard by Volvo MD 7A diesel 13 hp. Had the injectors refurbished, new fuel and water lines, Racor pre-filter. Plenty of power to go out through big surf at harbor entrance. Starts every time never failed me. Sailomat 601 windvane self steering installed last year, Profurl roller furler refurbished with the new standing rigging last April. Richie compus, horizon speed sender and race timer. Full cockpit Bimini easy up and down and zipper attachment front windows for bad weather.I just took her on a 25 day cruise of Hawaiian islands late 2016 and she performed great in all the heavy weather and sea's sailing the channels and at anchor. Some of the improvements include: haulouts 2013 and 2016. 2013 Bottom totally refurbished, ground and repaired all blisters correctly, new packing box, Garmin transducer installed in hull. New Uniden DSC marine radio. 2 New gel battery's, with solar panel and controller. 2016 hauled for rigging, power sanded bottom again and two coats bottom paint, Hull repainted blue, top decks repainted. Interior repainted, total new standing rigging, tangs chainplates, every bolt an turnbuckle 316 stainless. All new running rigging and halyards. New 8.5 ounce mainsail w/2 reef points, very nice 140 genny refurbished at sailmaker. and 100% heavy duty jib in excellent shape. mast cleaned, waxed, re-wired, new bolts for spreaders etc. Led spreader lights installed, new wire and radio ant top of mast. Custom rear ladder for easy access in an out of water with dive tanks on. Garmin chartplotter 50s, Garmin 500 AIS receiver, Interior V berth cushions recovered. Settee cushions in excellent shape. Lots of easy access storage on this boat under settee and berths. Backs of settee cushions double as rear side berth bottom cushions . Sleeps 6. Galley has ice box, sink, foot water pump. New outside fill for water tank. Room for 28 gal poly tank or 39 gal bladder tank all plumbed to 6 gal now. All rubber hoses on boat in including exhaust have been replaced. Groco marine head on starboard side with y valves 11 gal holding tank and thru hull for offshore. All plumbing lines new including Y valve. Port side across from head has clothes hanging bar with room for sail storage under. Bruce 33lb anchor with 70'chain 200' new rode. All electrical in good working order with extra 6 panel breaker installed 2016. Every light in working order. No leaks on this boat. She's sound, I've been preparing her to cross the ocean safely. This vessel is agile, fast, loves the sea's, easy to single hand. Everything on the boat works right. Windows don't leak. Bimini is getting older an could use new material but still holding. Vessel can be sailed to South Pacific or mainland safely just add your epirb and safety gear.
