I bought this boat with a view to renovating it, but a back injury is making that impossible. So I'm reluctantly letting her go.
There's no reason this boat couldn't go in the water right away. Just the usual pre-season prep work and some cleaning. So if you wanted to be sailing her soon, then go for it.
But she could use some sprucing up.
As far as I can tell, she's in original shape. And that's part of her beauty. Hank-on headsail, which I prefer to roller furling.
The Atomic 4 ran beautifully last season, but I haven't attempted to start it this year. Nor do I intend to. It's an Atomic 4. If it doesn't run, it won't take much to get it to run. These engines are awesome and won't quit. I was going to put the electronic ignition kit on there, but of course, that's up to you.
Main sail and headsail included. I don't know the dimensions of the headsail. There might even be more than one included. I'll update this listing when I check. The mast is include but not shown in the pictures.
She's currently in zip code 12062, and there's a local boat hauler that quoted me $600 to move her to the river.
This boat is a total classic. She'll sail beautifully and give you years of pleasure.
(I recommend that you come and see this boat before bidding. It is in East Nassau, which is 20 miles east of Albany, NY. You don't have to move this right away. I'll give you until the end of October to get her out of here, but you won't get the registration document until you're ready to move her. You can perfor reasonable work on her here before you move her.)
